The Starter Modules

STARTING WITH THE BASICS

week 1 - 3

First, we will teach you what to eat and how to put your plate together. Next, it’s all about preparing food & setting goals. We will then equip you with how to handle social settings and eating out.

week 4 -6

The Mindset Modules

CREATING SIMPLE HABITS

Now that you have the basics, you’re to start making good habits easier, while handling criticism. Got cravings? We all do, but let’s learn to manage and understand them by creating meals that don’t leave us with feelings of hunger, instead leaving you with feelings of fullness.

week 7 - 9

The Confidence Modules

PUSHING THROUGH THE 'PLATEAU'

We will collaborate together to create your own signature system to help you manage hormones, cravings and how to eat off-plan. Additionally, many tend to fear a plateau within their journey—I will guide you with continued support and motivation to your overall journey, no matter how big or small the goal.

WEEK 10 -12

The (In)depedence Modules

I will help you stay motivated by losing weight without losing your mind, which is why you will find making progress has never been easier. You will learn to meet yourself where you are at by creating & living within your signature system. I offer you the freedom of a lifestyle versus a diet and view set-backs as an opportunity.

FAQ

Can I really lose weight (and get lean), while eating until I'm actually fully satisfied?

Of course! But it also isn't easy to adjust your mindset so that this becomes an effortless lifestyle that you can maintain.

What kind of topics do we cover in the program?

Hunger and fullness, dealing with cravings, making healthy habits easier, what to eat when your traveling and eating out, balancing hormones, eating with your family, confidence, preparing food and so much more.

Who does the 1-on-1 coaching?

I do! My name is Stephanie Bartholomae and I'm the founder of Get Lean with Greens. Throughout the program I will work with you 1 on 1 to reach your goals and help you every step of the way.

What can I eat if I am hungry?

If you are hungry its always good to eat a 50/50 meal. Aim for 50% of your plate being a whole starch & 50% being vegetables and cook and sauté with water (no oil) and seasonings. You do not need to stick to traditional meal times. Eat when you are hungry and stop when you are full.

What about snacks?

Replacing snacks with a piece of fruit or some veggies, or a mini meal is the best. If you are actually hungry, then why not just eat a meal. But if you are missing the "hand to mouth motion", then having a cup of tea (so many wonderful flavors out there) is a really comforting and healthy habit and also great for social settings when you don't want to sit there empty handed.

Why no meat? Is it just about the calorie density?

No meat or any animal products doesn't just have to do with the calorie density, it really is about over all health, but since I am not the doctor I will link a really good video that can explain it a lot better than I right below and be sure to check it out!

What if I ate raw dairy?

Same as the question above, I have a helpful video linked below as well. The short on this one is that all milk, no matter where it is from is full of hormones, hormones that are meant for that animal's baby. Just like you wouldn't drink breast milk in your coffee or cereal, because it isn't necessary, and when you stop growing it is not good and can cause cancer and hormonal imbalances, if you keep consuming growth hormone foods. It just isn't healthy for you, even if it is raw or organic. But read the article for more information.

I'm a Mom, what about my family, do I have to cook two different meals for EVERY meal?

The beauty of a whole food plant based diet, is that the basics will work for everyone in your family. Rice, beans, potatoes and all the veggies are great staples for any meal. Adding some extras for weight maintenance, extra sauces, avocados, nuts, nut butters for your kids, guests or friends (and lots of fruit), does not have to be an extra time commitment or meal that needs to be prepared.

Isn't it expensive to eat so much fruit and vegetables?

When you aren't paying for meat and dairy products, you will quickly realize that your grocery bill is a lot less than you might think. There are ways to make this lifestyle very "extra" with special produce, or powders (if you like), but eating a starch based diet, with lots of veggies is really very affordable.

I know what to eat, but I struggle to be consistent, how can this become effortless for me?

This is where mindset and habits are really important and why I created my program. We can know exactly what to eat, but in order make lasting changes, you will need to do some mindset and habit changes and having accountability, someone to help you recognize triggers, how to prepare and create habits, will allow you to make a healthy lifestyle change EFFORTLESS & SUSTAINABLE for you!

How will this diet help me with balancing my hormones?

Our diet plays a huge factor when it comes to a healthy body and your hormones. So to eating whole foods on a plant based diet help to regulate insulin and blood sugar, which in turn help to level out your thyroid hormone, I used to struggle with this, your cortisol, estrogen, which in turn will help to regulate other issues around hormones like PCOS, Endometriosis, acne and the list goes on.

I am over 50 (or 60 or 70), will this work for me?

Yes—Healthy weight loss is always possible. Contrary to what a lot of people might think, it is really possible to lose the same amount of weight as a younger person might with the proper diet and lifestyle, even if you have always been over your desired weight and you have struggled with this for a very long time.

Can I do this lifestyle if I can't prepare food in my own kitchen for most meals?

It might be easier to prepare meals in your own kitchen, because you really can chose exactly what you would like to eat and shop and prepare your meals. BUT eating out and on the road is not as hard as you might think. As a rule of thumb, check out the sides menu and put together meals that are based with starches and veggies, just be sure to ask for no oil. (I have a whole Module on this in my lesson plan, because I am so passionate about a healthy lifestyle being sustainable for you, no matter what your work and social life might be like.

I have messed up my metabolism, will this still work for me?

I hope you will be very happy to hear that there is no such thing as a broken metabolism, so even if you have messed your metabolism up, you can always fix it, by fueling your body with healthy whole foods & your body will heal itself when you are eating this way.

Do I need to work out to achieve results?

No—Exercise is so healthy, so I would always encourage some exercise, but not for weight loss & it is not necessary for weight loss and especially not on a whole foods plant based diet. When people are starting out, I even discourage working out, because your body is going through a change just as it is. When you are stuck at a weight loss plateau, a bit of walking can help. But as soon as you push your body too hard and you rely on working out to lose weight, well then your body depends on that to keep it off as well, and that is something we also don't want.
